Our dear relatives Jane and Darwin Sletten came down to Decorah, from Souix Falls (South Dakota), to visit us. They had a huge Chevrolet that they could drive us around in.
thuesday we drown over the Mississippi river and into Wisconsin. My mom was no feeling so well, so she didn't join us these days.. In Wisconsin we went on a guided tour in an old victorian style house, Villa Louis. After that we drove north to one of Mississippis Lock and Dam, that was interesting. For thoes whom does not know what a lock and dam is, it's a dam where the river level is different, and the have to lock boats up and rise the water, and then the boat can continue his adventur. Lol, anyway - now I can cross out Wisconsin on my "stats i've been in"-list;)
Friday we desided to go back up to Minniapolis, Minnesota, to go to the Valley Fair. That was a fun day, I had forgotten how it was to take rides. Some of the rollercoasters was so much fun!!! And Magnhild and I got caricature drawings of ourselfs, something to remember this day by.
It's now monday, and we're in Decorah - and Nordic fest starts in just 3 days. That wil be fun! And on upcoming sunday we will leave Decorah and head for Minnesota, Nevada, Arizona and California. Btw, did I tell you that we ordered rooms at TRESURE ISLAND in Las Vegas? OMG, that will be so much fun.
